Youth Jujitsu/Judo Classes

We work regularly with the West Shore Recreation Commission in offering eight week beginner's sessions introducing youths to Judo.  The preliminary skills leading to a rank of Yellow belt are taught (see chart below).  Beginner classes are Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 7:30PM. 

After completing the  introductory class, students are invited to join the club at the student monthly dues fee, currently $25/month/person.  Classes for continuing youth students are held Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 -7:30PM. 

Youths truly interested in learning Judo are invited to visit the club and watch a class.  They may join the club without participating in the Recreation Commission program.   Call or email with any questions on participation.

No special uniform (a Gi) or equipment is required for beginners. Sturdy, loose, comfortable clothing is all that's needed.

All decisions on rank and promotion are based on several factors including skill level, dedication, class attendance, and behavior.  All rank assignments are the sole purveyance of Head Sensei John Wertz

All participants in any West Shore Jujitsu class or activity are required to complete and sign a waiver of liability.

1st Sat. of each month 10:00 - 11:30AM

Saturday practices are Airsoft Force on Force.  You will need an electric Airsoft gun, plastic bb's, and eye protection.
